BROWARD COUNTY – On Friday, March 20, Broward County Public Faculties (BCPS) dad and mom and guardians from throughout the District picked up greater than 64,000 laptop gadgets to assist their youngsters’s training. The gadgets are a part of the District’s efforts to make sure all college students have entry to on-line studying, which begins Districtwide on Monday, March 30, as a result of faculties being closed due to the coronavirus risk.
As a part of the distribution course of, dad and mom and guardians went to their baby’s college starting at eight a.m., accomplished obligatory documentation and left with tablets and laptops on mortgage from the District for his or her youngsters.
Superintendent Robert W. Runcie visited Walter C. Younger Center College on Friday morning to observe the distribution course of and converse with households and employees.
